Making Memory Cloths was part of Café Allonge, performance art in coffee shops for the Wisconsin Triennial exhibit at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Last fall 50 people joined Leslee Nelson in embroidering their own memory cloths.  They loved doing it and didn’t want to stop so they just kept meeting Wednesday afternoons.  This exhibit shares some of the pieces that were created.
