Madison Contemporary Fiber Artists (MCFA) is a group of diverse artists who share a passion for creating original art from fiber. The group fosters the growth of members by providing a forum for exploring contemporary design and fiber manipulation techniques, critiquing work, and stimulating creative energy. Artists' work currently includes art quilts, surface design, beading, paper making, hand embroidery, weaving, contemporary dolls, wearable art, felting, and mixed fiber media. MCFA members are dedicated to promoting fiber as an art form and exhibit individually and collectively.
We chose "Branching Out" as is an artistic challenge for our members to explore the topic of pushing ourselves into new directions as artists. Some took the challenge literally others more conceptually.
MCFA holds regular meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month from January through October. These meetings include a business meeting and a lively show-and-tell! Meetings are held at 7:00 pm in Madison, Wisconsin at the Midvale Community Lutheran Church at 4329 Tokay Blvd at the corner of Midvale and Tokay. Details
